About the Role: The Quality Assurance Engineer III designs and executes comprehensive test plans and automation strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role leads defect triage sessions, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and actively participates in the software development lifecycle to enhance testing processes and product performance. The position is critical for maintaining software reliability and alignment with quality goals across multiple projects

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear and testable requirements
  • Develop detailed test plans and scenarios covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and edge cases
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing of workflows, integrations, features, and defect fixes
  • Investigate and resolve software defects with developers, providing documentation and recommendations
  • Lead API testing to ensure data integrity, security, and seamless application integration
  • Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and regression suites across products
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Conduct performance and load testing to assess system scalability and stability
  • Mentor junior QA engineers on testing best practices and automation techniques
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and align QA teams on complex feature testing
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase testing efficiency and quality
  • Use metrics and reporting tools to monitor testing progress and coverage gaps
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to validate builds and readiness for production
  • Present testing results, challenges, and quality metrics during stakeholder demos
  • Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align development and testing efforts
  • Lead discussions to align stakeholders on testing outcomes and quality objectives

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of nine yearsโ€™ experience designing and executing software test strategies and plans
  • At least two yearsโ€™ experience with automated test software development and maintenance
  • Proficient in functional, regression, integration, performance, and load testing
  • Experience testing both back-end services and front-end user interfaces
  • Skilled with test automation tools such as JMeter, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium, SoapUI, and automated RESTful API testing
  • Proficiency with MS SQL for backend validation
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methods and tools like Jira and Kanban
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass a federal Position of Public Trust Level 5 background check

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with healthcare software
  • Knowledge of Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) or HL7 FHIR, including the FHIR REST API
  • Familiarity with Enterprise JavaScript stack
  • Experience with Java technologies including Eclipse/IntelliJ, JPA, Maven, Spring BootUnderstanding of JSON and XML

 

Pay Range and Compensation Package: $90,000 – $110,000
