About the Role

Fresno City College is seeking a detail-driven Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing digital systems team. This is a remote role supporting the implementation and maintenance of high-quality technology solutions that serve our students, faculty, and administrative staff.

As a QA Analyst, youโ€™ll play a critical role in ensuring that applications and platforms used across the college perform accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Your focus will include designing test plans, identifying bugs, supporting system upgrades, and collaborating across IT and functional departments to deliver dependable services to our campus community.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Design and execute comprehensive test cases for software applications, systems, and integrations
  • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability
  • Identify, log, and track software defects using standard issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
  • Collaborate with developers, implementation teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Participate in agile sprints and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes
  • Validate system updates, upgrades, and patches prior to deployment
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for test cases, defects, and testing processes
  • Help ensure data privacy, accessibility compliance, and institutional security standards are met

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Quality Assurance and Quality Control
  • Strong Manual Testing skills
  • Ability to design and execute Test Cases
  • Analytical Skills for identifying and troubleshooting defects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in educational technology systems is a plus
